Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens reviews
Spent a lovely day at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens with my family. Gardens are well kept. The hike trail was manageable for my 9 and 12 year old girls. more »
The gardens offer a chance to enjoy nature in close vicinity to the city Depending on your plans, you can pack food or get something from the restaurant It can get busy so plan your day to arrive... more »
Very nice botanical garden. There is a lot of space to picnic. You can hire a cart and have someone take your picnic basket and blankets to a spot you want. Safe parking inside with security, you get a ticket upon entrance and have yo give it in again when you leave. There is a nice restaurant inside the Botanical Gardens. There is a nice waterfall and a pathway to walk up to where the waterfall starts. I will definitely visit the park again.
Lovely day out for the family or with a group of friends. You can take your own picnic and there are quite a few shady spots although it's still a good idea to get there relatively early to ensure you secure a shady spot. If you don't want to lug all your picnic stuff, you can hire a guy with a cart to take it for you. There is also a restaurant if you don't feel like a picnic. There is a lovely hike up to the waterfall and you only need an average level of fitness.
