#1 of 6 in Theme Parks in Cape Town
Theme Park · Hidden Gem · Water / Amusement Park
See the city from a different angle at The Cape Wheel, reaching a height of 50 m (164 ft) and providing possibly the best vistas in town. The ride lasts 4 revolutions and allows plenty of time to admire the entire skyline, as well as the surrounding mountains. All 36 cabins have temperature control and transparent glass--some cabins also offer wheelchair access. If you want to make clearer photographs, try putting your lens closer to the window and point away from the reflected light. • What I can tell you about the wheel is it looks like it would be fun to go on the wheel. The place we're it's situated is the ideal location. It's full of energy and you have everything and more to do and to go to.I have spoken to people that went on the wheel and they all say that it is one of the must see attractions if you in Cape Town. Being someone that is looking from the outside inwards when it comes to The Cape Wheel, I will let you know about my experience. Here is some pictures to look at that you can see how beautiful it looks from a far. I will give update as soon as I went on The Wheel. So today (22/10/2019) I went on the wheel and it was something different. If you have a fear of heights I would not recommend you to go on this ride. You are on it for 10 minutes but it felt like a life time to me. I did all funny things and my heart rate was so high you wouldn't believe, but it was worth it everyone. This is a must feel and see experience if you Cape Town, South Africa.
  • Seating on cape wheel will take you to a height of 40 meters above ground enabling you to have a 360 degree view of crowed V&A Waterfront. Each cabin is fitted with AC, lights, emergency switch & is comfortable. A couple of wheel chair friendly & a special VIP cabin is available for ride. At the end you will get lovely photo memories at a cost of R250. I got a complementary ride & photos free of cost by the way.
