  • It is a small church that meets on the road that leads to the castle. Always closed but visible through the railing that protects it. Its construction dates back to the FIFTEENTH century; It was consecrated by the then Bishop of Trieste Enea Silvio Piccolomini, then became pope with the name of Pius II. Next to the church is the Lime tree (visible in photos) under which Erasmus was buried, Lord of the castle.

  • Too bad it was closed. Very nice from outside the blue and silver altar. Bad to see chairs piled up inside.

  • A small a noble Gothic building is likely to be placed around the year 1450 Erazem Predjama (Lueger), the owner of the Predjama Castle. Erazem was buried under a hollow lipo located in the immediate vicinity. The church has been closed every once in my visit, and the exterior and surroundings are somewhat neglected.

  • The Church of the Grieving Mother of God was built in the 15th century in the Gothic style. The church has preserved frescoes from the late 15th century. A cultural monument of national importance of Slovenia.
