  • See passing in front of the old House of the Court of justice, a small statue of Queen Victoria (the original of the statue is kept in the national Museum of history), godmother of the capital of the Seychelles which overcomes a so-called fountain of the Jubilee. It was built in 1900 to mark the 60 years of reign of the British sovereign (the real Jubilee was held in 1897). She recalls in passing that the Seychellois capital precisely owes its name to Queen Victoria.
