Anse Intendance, Mahe Island

A remote spot nestled on the southwest of the island, Anse Intendance offers wild, pristine beach tranquility. Follow the mangrove-lined jungle path past the one nearby resort, to white powdered sands and corner after corner of sun-kissed seclusion. Swimming is not advised from June to September due to strong currents, although the lack of reef does attract daring surfers throughout the year. The beach has few nearby facilities, so pack a picnic and plenty of water. • On this beach you can usually experience a swim in the waves. The water is so warm that you don't want to get out of the water even after a half-hour bath. Beautiful surrounding scenery, green forest, palms. Despite the fact that the weather forecast still shows on rainy days, even thunderstorms, we actually experienced only a few showers of warm rains.

  • You can drive almost to the beach. There is a parking lot, which is even quite large. The beach is fantastically beautiful. Caution with the current, swimming difficult possible. There is an snack that grills fish. Drinks and banana cake gb's too. Delicious.
