Belgrade Zoo, Belgrade

3.3
#3 of 70 in Parks in Serbia
Known as one of Europe's oldest zoos, Belgrade Zoo houses some 2,000 animals from 270 species, right in the center of the capital city. Its collection of white lions is one of the largest in the world, and reportedly the oldest alligator known to man lives here. Stretching across 7 hectares (17 acres) of hilly landscaped terrain, the zoo features thematic zones, such as Africa, Australia, and birds of prey. Walk among different habitats and encounter wild and domestic animals of all sizes and shapes. Visit the petting zoo to play with the youngest residents, or buy a bag of peanuts to feed the zoo's elephants. Children can also ride ponies at the site. • Small Zoo, too small cages. Tahre are some white albino animals worth to see but that's it. As it is so close to other places of interest stop by for albinos.  more »
  • The zoo was really nice, it has a lot of animals. But they should give more space to some animals that had a really small space.  more »

  • This place is really clean 🧼! No dirty areas, no dirty animals! No sick animals!!!Reasonable prices and polite staff. Really nice experience. Most of the animals are rescues. There is a couple cafeterias around with nice view. After a half day walk it’s nice to sit, have a cup of coffee ☕️ or tea 🍵 and rest. There is 🍿 salesman 👨‍💼, souvenir shop... This zoo is pretty big. Also there is part with little baby animals walking around-like lambs, goats 🐐. It’s called “petting zoo”. Great place for parents with children 👶🏻. Good job 👏🏻 strongly recommending 🙏🏻
  • Everything is good, in fact i gave 5 stars rating 3 months ago. And i was impressed with the kid/petting zoo. But today i went again with my boy and it was crowded. What triggered me to place 1 star today is beside the kid playground/kid zoo. There is a cafe that allow smoking right next it. As a pregnant mother with a 3 year old boy. I went to ask the cafe staffs about why they allow smoking in the kid zoo. They said they are just workers not the owner. So i have to give 1 star to get anyone who can attend to this issue. You can let people smoke anywhere else but not kid area! Why is it so difficult to understand!
