Home to many different types of birds, Lagune de la Somone is a nature reserve on the banks of the Somone River. Spanning 7,000 hectares (12,297 acres), this protected area attracts various species of migrating birds, including pink flamingos, pelicans, herons, sea gulls, and egrets. A sandy stretch between the river and the baobab forest serves as a pleasant beach and a departure point for boat tours. You can watch fishermen bring their daily catch or visit one of the surrounding villages, as well as head to a nearby oyster farm to see how the locals live and work on a daily basis.   • Absolutely done by sea and land. One of the cleanest places in the area even though it also carries rubbish there in this beautiful place. "Entry" fee of 2000cfa by sea and 1500 by land
