Erarta Museum, St. Petersburg

4.5
Erarta Museum features the country's largest collection of contemporary Russian art. This privately owned museum boasts over 2,000 works of Russian art from over 140 artists that are available for public viewing. The St. Petersburg location opened in 2010, although the museum also has international galleries in New York, London, and Zurich. Explore this central building and its collections, including paintings, graphics, sculpture, and installations. Immerse yourself in interactive exhibitions and programs, such as "theater with no actors" and "art-animation." Most importantly, discover and learn from a world of contemporary art that is distinctly Russian. You can plan St. Petersburg trip in no time by asking Inspirock to help create your itinerary.

  • Erarta is Russia's largest private museum of contemporary art, a place not to be missed to learn about modern Russia. Erarta Galleries is part of a global Erarta project that aims to promote Russian contemporary art both in Russia and beyond. The project itself is a private institution. A promotional process that is based on the reinvestments of sales of works of art in the project. A must-visit in St. Petersburg, I recommend asking at the ticket office for a guided tour in Italian.

  • In Moscow, I go to contemporary art exhibitions all the time, and when I was in St. Petersburg, I decided to visit Erarta. I was 100 percent satisfied! Both permanent and temporary exhibitions are worthy of attention, everyone will find something to their liking. Lots of interactive exhibitions and the ability to take gorgeous photos. Tickets pay off at your best, this place is worthy of a visit! I recommend :) to everyone

  • A very diverse, dynamic and creative exhibition of modern art that we enjoyed immensely. Make sure you allocate sufficient time for your visit. My wife and I spent around 3 hours visiting both wings (permanent exhibition on the left, and temporary ones on the right), and you can easily spend even more time there...
  • The biggest Modern Art Museum in Russia. It has an interesting concept. You need about 4 hours to through the whole 2 wings of the museum. Definitely try a couple of U-Space, but not the "Infinity", it is just a dark room. The restaurant is nice and they serve good drinks. Also, give it a try to the Cafe. 😉
