Cruiser Aurora, St. Petersburg

4.1
All aboard Cruiser Aurora, a training ship that played a central role in the beginning of the Great October Socialist Revolution. The ship first launched in 1900 and joined the Russian Navy in 1903. The ship-turned-museum played an active part in the Russo-Japanese war, World War I, and World War II, but it is remembered best for stymieing international intervention during the Soviet uprising of 1917. Climb on board to see what life was like for the sailors working on the ship. The exhibit provides additional information on the battles that the cruiser took part in, its history, and the people who sailed the ship. • Went from the art school to the Plein air, visited the cruiser as a monument to the fleet. Photographed on the highest point of the ship. I'm afraid of heights just to chew))), but thanks to the support of loved ones with their help, the photo turned out good! The museum itself inside the ship is good and interesting.!! Recommend!

  • Overall good experience. Ship is well maintained and there are some exhibitions inside with videos and photos. Free for Russian citizens on some days. Be prepared to put your backpacks into somewhat questionable storage before entering the ship. No free tours available for visitors, but saw some politicians there for a private VIP tour.
  • I saw the boat only from outside, because it was during the big city tour. Very severe look, very revolutionary look! There is a museum inside, and there is even a crew! However the vessel cannot sail now. It is one of the symbols of our city.
