A dense forest in the middle of a modern city, Arboretum Park boasts a vast collection of native and exotic plants. Originally established as a private garden on the country's picturesque Black Sea coast, this 12 hectare (30 acre) park now protects almost 2,000 species of trees and bushes, brought from virtually every corner of the world. Considered one of the most diverse botanical gardens in the country, the park offers visitors a chance to discover the world's varied natural habitats without ever leaving Russia. Be sure to take the cable car to the top of the garden's hill, offering panoramic views of the sea and the Caucasus Mountains. • Beautiful place! Roses, mimosa blossoms, parrots sing. Everything is just buried in greenery! You can climb to the highest point using the cable car (500 rubles), but we went on foot and did not regret it, the view is incredible! The park in January is ideal for walking, not hot, blooming, not many people. We will definitely come back, in the summer, I want to see it in all its glory.
  • The Arboretum Park is one of the most iconic places in the city of Sochi. One of the largest and oldest parks in Russia. A sea of exotic plants. Here, in special enclosures, parrots live, ostriches and peacocks walk. A small creek has swans and nutria. But, at not a small cost, an entrance ticket and a funicular, the state of the park, in some places, is sad. Many trees are unkempt and dry. It is strange that the Arboretum is in such a state.
