A fortified complex at the heart of the city, Moscow Kremlin (Moskovsky Kreml) serves as the official residence of the country's president, and is designated as a World Heritage Site. Overlooking the city's central square, this "fortress inside a city," as its name roughly translates, includes five palaces and four cathedrals. The giant complex sits on the north bank of the Moscow River, enclosed by a protective brick wall just over 2 km (1.2 mi) long. Although the best views of the exterior are from the other side of the river, be sure to visit the citadel's museums to see collections of Russian state regalia, arms, and armor. On the other hand the 4 catredrales are a very good example of Orthodox architecture.

It is to be done but the entrance is not indicated it is galley. You have to get out of the red square by the historical State Museum, walk along the Kremlin wall through the Park, pass under the bridge (the entrance is through the bridge) and go to the Museum in the other part of the Park. Security portico at the entrance of course. Everything is to be seen next.
A true historical jewel in the heart of Moscow. My excitement to the Armory chamber is remarkable. An inevitable attraction for lovers of Russian history as well as religious temples. I also recommend touring The Diamond Fund.
We didn't met Mr president, but the place is still impressive. The annoying thing was ticket system and entrenace to the area - very strict security check and long queue is understandable, but lack of any description what type of ticket should we buy and extremely unfriendly cashier speaking only Russian was disappointing.
