Stroll among colorful flower beds and impressive historical monuments at Aleksandrovskiy Sad, which stretches along the Kremlin's western wall. Tsar Alexander I ordered the reconstruction of the city after the Napoleonic Wars, with the addition of a new garden. The cast-iron entry gate and grille in the shape of fasces (wooden rods with ax blades) symbolize the Russian victories over Napoleon. Near the main entrance, you can see the tomb of the unknown soldier with an eternal flame, commemorating the fallen heroes of World War II. Taste some ice cream or the savory pies sold along the walking paths. The northern part of the garden is adjacent to a large, underground shopping center. Simply beautiful. I just wish it had less people, than I enjoy it much more. I like to come there in the early morning. And the atmosphere is unbelievable, so peaceful!
