Simion Bărnuțiu Central Park, Cluj-Napoca

A great place to cool down in the summer, situated right in the heart of the city. It has a lake with swan, car or dragon-like boats which can be hired at a cost of 12 lei/half an hour for adults and 6 lei/half and hour for children. At one end of the park, next to the football stadium, there is a playground for kids. A good place to run, it also hosts an outdoor gym with weight lifting equipment. During the week it's mostly pensioners walking about, but at weekends, it is very popular with families.

Usually it's calm and quiet, green trees , green grass ( mostly at least.. since the great Untold ), beautiful river flowing on the side and impressing arhitectural monuments on the other side. You can always find here great people and relaxing experiences. But then .. every once in a while the place lightens up with music, activities, concerts, festivals. It s amazing , great place for having fun, I just hope this little haven for nature will be kept safe.
