Squeeze through the corridor of Rope Street - Strada Sforii, one of the narrowest streets in Europe. First mentioned in 17th-century documents, the street was originally constructed as a connection between two other streets. The 80 m (260 ft) corridor was used for many years as a passage for firemen. Nearly every visitor can spread his arms and touch the walls, since the broadest part of the street is 132 cm (52 in) wide. Today the street is a lovers' meeting place and a favorite spot for tourists and photographers.
