The unique opportunity to see the volcano from the inside. A must-see on Terceira. Take some long sleeve as there is only 12 degrees Celsius down there.

This, for sure, looks inexpressible. The size of the cave is enormous. Part of the walls are melted down. The rest are covered in moss and similar plants. There is a lake at the bottom of the cave. It drips slowly from the walls. Very surreal sensations. The cave is so big that there is no clear echo. This is, perhaps, the most vivid memory from Terceira
