Estadio do Dragao, Porto

#15 of 558 in Things to do in Porto
Designed to seat more than 50,000 spectators, Estadio do Dragao hosts the F.C. Porto of the Portuguese Football League System and Union of European Football Associations matches. Its inauguration in 2003 saw a match against F.C. Barcelona, in which Porto won 2-0; that game was also the debut of Lionel Messi. Along with soccer, the stadium also serves as a venue for concerts of prominent musicians, including Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, and Coldplay. If there's not going to be a match at the time of your visit, check out the team's museum and take a guided tour of the site--use the opportunity to see restricted areas, such as the presidential box, changing rooms, and dugouts. • Amazing, it was a private tour with just the 3 of us. I enjoyed it, our guide while young was very informative and insightful. We got to see the entire stadium except for the player's locker room which is off limits (superstition, messes with the energy) but saw the president's skyboxes and sat in his very seat! I enjoyed it and so did my family, would highly recommend it
  • Great stadium and tour. Could go in all the usual places apart from home dressing room. Spectacular stadium and well wort the visit for 13 euro including museum entrance.
