At Rossio Square, one of the main squares in Portugal since the Middle Ages, see Baroque ornamental fountains and monuments, have a coffee, and browse through a variety of colorful flowers for sale. Visit cafes that date back to the 18th century and check out the shops selling traditional pastries and spirits. See a 27 m (89 ft) column of King Pedro IV, who was also the first Emperor of Brazil. Snap photos of the 1840 neoclassical national theater, take a look around the 1887 Neo-Manueline train station, or walk along the cobblestone paths of this popular square. • A large and well cared square. It has restaurants around, a beautiful fountain, besides the National Theatre in the background. In its center there is the column in honor of D. Pedro IV of Portugal, being D. Pedro I of Brazil. Departing from Praça do Comercio, Rua Augusta will finish precisely in Praça do Rossio. Mandatory visit

  • Basically, it is a place like any other, in Lisbon it is a big one. However, the visual impression of the pavement is sensational.
