Designed to resemble St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, Panteao Nacional stands both as a home to the tombs of many notable Portuguese figures and as one of the capital city's most recognizable symbols. Though it took nearly three centuries to complete, the church retains its 17th-century architecture. Its ornate Baroque facade and white dome rise above the city. Enter the basilica to explore the halls with their different coats of arms and statues. Keep your eyes open for the graves of famous figures, including former presidents, writers, singers, and Humberto Delgado--a presidential candidate who once ran against then-dictator Antonio Salazar. You'll find several memorials to legendary native explorers Vasco da Gama and Henry the Navigator, among others. Afterward, ascend the basilica dome for a view of the sea and Lisbon. Panteao Nacional Reviews
Majestuoso panteón (aunque bastante vacío por dentro) que merece la pena visitar. La vista desde su zona panorámica lo convierte en un gran mirador para contemplar la ciudad. more »Majestic pantheon (albeit quite empty inside) that is worth visiting. The view from its panoramic area makes it a great viewpoint to contemplate the city.

In this beautiful building completed in Salazar's time we can find several graves of important figures and also know some of the building, the history of Lx and Portugal. They have an annex dedicated to the Flea Market. I loved the building and the view on the tagus. Back!!!
Beautiful building. We came across it by chance and had to go visit. Did not regret it at all. You pay a couple euros and enter. The architecture is beautiful. Its definitely worth the walk up the stairs to see the view at the top. Took some really nice pictures as well.
Amazing building, used to be a church and you can see how much work had been done to build it. You can go around the building in different level inside and outside and have a good view of the building as well as the beautiful Lisbon.
