Museu do Fado / Fado Museum Reviews
Un très joli musée pas très grand mais où il faut prendre son temps pour découvrir et écouter les grandes voix du fado. Quelques jolies peintures aussi. Un incontournable pour comprendre cette musique... more »A very nice Museum not very large but where you have to take your time to discover and listen to the great voices of fado. Some pretty paintings too. A must to understand this music so profound.
Désirant découvrir le fado nous sommes sortis un peu déçus Le musée s ‘adresse plus à un public déjà averti Quelques traductions des poèmes en anglais seulement et pas en nombre suffisant l auditorium... more »Wishing to discover the FADO we went out a little disappointed the Museum addresses more to an already warned audience some translations of the poems in English only and not in sufficient number the Auditorium could be better used in the service of an art that exudes a great intensity and a haunting fascination
I love FADO! I didn't know much about it up until a few days ago, but a friend recommended some music and I just happened upon this museum. Lots of history, you can sit and listen to many different artists and only 5 euro. I would recommend to anyone interested in Fado or music in general.
Very interesting and informative museum. Attractive, well located and well maintained building. I enjoyed the scale of this museum - a bit smaller and more approachable than some others. Also, I appreciated the outstanding value of the admission price - 5€ including the personal audio device, available in English and other languages. Recommend!
