View Lisbon from its highest point, Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, with a castle on the hill, the city below, and the river with its massive bridge at the back. Take a seat on one of the benches lining the overlook and take in the tranquil atmosphere of the place, away from the bustle of the city underneath. The picturesque location is perfect for snapping photos: clouds rolling over a misty, sleepy town below the hill, or a lively riverfront city nestled amidst green forests and hills--either way, it awaits an artistic eye to capture its best angles. • A beautiful place to view Lisbon and the surrounding area. You can buy reasonable snacks from the caravans up here. It's a steep climb up from the city or station but very worth the effort particularly because of the surrounding area which has churches, markets and more stunning views.
  • One of our favourite places in Lisbon. The climb has been long and, specially under the hot sun of August, tiring, but once you arrive at the top, you will be totally rewarded! Not crowded, and there is also an artist with his guitar playing relaxing music. Very romantic spot.
