Good structure, excellent service and the restaurant is spectacular. It still seems a bit expensive versus what it offers, but it's worth it for a special occasion. The views are very beautiful.
Personalmente creo que el tour no merece mucho la pena. Te enseñan un par de habitaciones y te explican muy por encima lo que ya has escuchado mil veces antes en otras bodegas. They show you a couple of rooms and explain to you far above what you've heard a thousand times before in other wineries. Where they do make a difference is in the subsequent tasting, where fairly quality wines are tasted. If I remember wrong we try wines of 50 and 60 euros per bottle. Considering that the tour costs 12 euros is not bad at all. The cellar is very nice.
We were just on wine tour and tasting. This is one of the few places which pours you the best wines they have, not the entry level ones. Then you know what you are buying. One remark for the managers. Would be better of someone just walking in to get quick service with information that you need to book a tasting or simply when is the next tour ending and you can join. Not every waiter / sommelier is helpful to give that info straight away.
Amazing grounds and experience. We rocked up without a reservation for a tasting. Staff were very accommodating and our host spent . great deal of time and energy on us. I wish I would have remembered her name, as she was no personable and fun. The wines, ports and cheeses were absolutely delicious and it was all very reasonably priced. Walked away with a number of bottles or the cellar. A great experience for the taste buds as well as the relaxed nature of the location. Definitely on my list to visit again when we return to Porto and the Douro Valley.
