Fiquri super pleased with the visit that was provided to us. A didactic space of high quality and content, very well structured, with bilingual information (PT and EN), offers us a well-consolidated view of the Roman presence in the region and the expansion of the Roman Empire in the world. A good museum for children and to those who do not have a classical education. There are some lovely interactive exhibits. They have gone through considerable lengths to show how the local region fitted into the greater empire. This museum makes a great introduction to the Roman Empire and society before one visits the museum and impressive ruins at Conimbriga (just 2 km away). All of the displays have English explanations BUT the audio-visual displays and interactive screens are only in Portuguese. An enjoyable experience.
