It was built on an ancient Roman forum, which travels with curiosity and pleasure. All properly organized, to provide the visitor an interesting and profitable route. There is a panoramic restaurant inside the museum, where you can make a good meal with affordable price and with views of the university and the low zone, next to the river Mondego! I highly recommend a visit!

Well-recovered building fabulous parts Roman Cryptoportico very interesting the organization is a little confused. Missing information about the exposed pieces and the fantastic building. It is not enough to say that the play was from the convent of Santa Clara, which one? Who was the author of the play? What's your story? The history of the museum and the building. You need to modify the visit circuit and additional information. The delivery at the beginning is useless. Some important information is at the end of the circuit when it was already tired and no capacity to absorb it. Getting better because it's an inescapable museum.
Having visited many museums, I've gotten a bit fatigued with them. However, this one was definitely worth the visit. The visit begins with the crypts which in itself is an interesting experience. I also loved the replica internals of a church that is displayed with the artwork. This museum truly makes use of its space well as throughout the visit, you get to see views of the city.
this is an incredibly well designed and curated museum where history is intertwined with lovingly restored art. you start in the Roman ruins below and climb slowly but not through ages, instead through mediums. architecture, sculpture, paintings, relics, tiles, textiles, all perfectly balanced, dramatically displayed, and with much focus on the artists and stories. one of the best museum experiences in memory.
