Centrum Historii Zajezdnia, Wroclaw

The museum, which was redesigned in 2016, is modern and very successful. It is completely accessible for the disabled and is bilingual (Polish, English). The history of Wroclaw before, during and after the Second World War is illuminated over two floors in 30 thematic areas. In addition to the war crimes, the everyday life of the families is shown without being ruthless but with a great deal of sensitivity. In war, in communism, during the uprisings of Solidarity and after the reunification. The museum focuses on history to this day. The bistro was still under construction when we were there, but is expected to open soon. But it has a good sushi restaurant nearby, so you don't starve even if the museum is just outside the city center (but is easily accessible by bus and tram!). Definitely worth a visit - and count enough time if you want to read the posts!

The staff was very friendly. The museum is well cared for. Very much documentation, also in English. It has a good example what life was after 1945 until now. Also many interactive possibilities. Definitely a must do if you are in Wroclaw. Easy to reach by public transport. We wish the organizers many visitors, because this is a beautiful and instructive museum.
