or Wielka Czantoria is a mountain on the border of Poland and the Czech Republic, in the Silesian Beskids mountain range and historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. It reaches a height of 995 meters. Parts of the mountain on both sides are designated a protected area.It is distinct for its steep slopes in the east and the west. Mostly coniferous trees grow on its slopes. It is the largest peak of the Czech part of the Silesian Beskids. There is a 29 m-high lookout tower on the mountain and mountain hut on the Czech side of the mountain. The mountain hut was constructed in 1904 by the German tourist association Beskidenverein, and was named Erzherzogin Isabella Schutzhaus in honor of Archduchess Isabella of Austria. In 1920 the new border between the states of Poland and Czechoslovakia was established running across the mountain . After World War II and expropriation of German property, the hut was nationalized by the Czechoslovak government. A smaller mountain hut was built on the Polish side in 1962.

  • Comfortable rail with 4 personal chairs. Staff. In September, no queues. It is a pity that at the summit of this time of the year is active one bar with bad food fast food. The Views compensate everything!!!

  • Convenient entry to the mountain, an interesting experience especially for those who are going for the first time and for the fear of altitude. At the time of entry they make commemorative photos on the background of Ustronia, you can buy. The descent is a poetry for the eyes, beautiful views. At the top station of the funicular you can lie on a deckchair (they are), a blanket, sit at the bar benches, enter the Sokolarnia, and for lovers of more powerful sensations is the gutted. From here you can enter the trail to the top of the Czantorii, where the Polish-Czech border passes, and the view is fabulous. Observation tower is another attraction, we see from it the panorama of beautiful beskids with views of the mountains of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, you can view the Tatras and sometimes Sudety. The route is not difficult and short, a small child can enter and go down without a problem.
