The Museum of the Second World War (Polish: Muzeum II Wojny Światowej) is a state cultural institution established in 2008 and a museum in Gdańsk, Poland which is devoted to the Second World War.

Kwadrat architectural team won the architectural competition for the building of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk.
Under new management, the museum faced criticism from deviating from its original exhibits, designed by well-known historians. The new exhibits placed a high emphasis on the victimization of ethnic Poles during the war. Several of the original authors filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement when the exhibits were changed without consultation, which they won in October 2020.

  • Not to be missed when in Gdansk! This is by far the best WWII museum I've ever been to. Housed in an incredible contemporary building, with all the new technologies and valuable exhibitions to feel the terror of the war. The whole experience melted my soul to the point it inspired me to get a tattoo about freedom. One of the best attractions in Gdansk, many congratulations to the wonderful people of Poland who built this monumental museum! Words aren't enough, you need to visit that place.
  • Better than history class. Well done exhibition. Interesting presentation. I wish the last presentation before exit would be changed a bit. But the rest is definitely gods quality. Definitely must see place when visiting Gdansk.
