Relax in the tranquil and historic Paco Park. This large recreational park has a fascinating history dating back to the Spanish colonial period, when a cholera epidemic forced the Dominicans to build a new cemetery in Manila. After being used as a supply depot during World War II, the park was converted into a national park in 1966 and the remains of those buried there transferred to other cemeteries. Today the park still contains a small chapel, making it an incredibly popular venue for weddings, receptions, and concerts. Find an empty bench, enjoy the peace and quiet, and watch couples enjoying a romantic sunset stroll. For Paco Park and beyond, use our Manila trip website to get the most from your Manila vacation.
Paco Park reviews
Beautiful park cemetery with a small chapel and a nice fountain. A popular venue for weddings. It is well maintained. more »
The park is really a cemetary with a chapel on one end encircled by a pair of walls. Within the walls are interred remains of city figures, religious orders, and some historical national figures... more »
I don't see ticket counter here or staff, so we just walk in inside of the park We were so lucky when we visiting this place, there were not so many tourist. It's just seeing some students passing by and also local peoples who was sitting in the park near the fountain This place is just peace full, calm, feel like far away from noisy the stree of Manila. The church also beautiful but I think we can;t look inside, sitting under the shadow of the big tress after hot temperature in Manila feel so good.
Entrance fee of Php10. Place is open to visitors up to 4pm only. Mass is conducted during Sundays: 5pm and 6pm. Students usually practice their dance, drama here or as a simple meet up place. Place is well maintained, there is roving security, limited parking space.
