Trip Planner: Asia / Philippines / Luzon / Calabarzon Region / Rizal Province / Antipolo City / Pinto Art Museum
Nestled amid lush landscaped gardens, Pinto Art Museum features works by modern and contemporary artists in open-air, Mediterranean-style villas. Art installations here merge with elements of nature, instead of hanging rigidly from the gallery walls. Walk the green lawns dotted with stone, metal, and wax statues, and look for a meditation garden behind a white chapel. When you find it, inspect the drawers with anonymous letters written by visitors and dedicated to their lost loves--an interactive art project run by the museum. The galleries boast many pieces of mixed media art, oil paintings, embroidery, and wire sculptures, as well as traditional Philippine paintings showing scenes from everyday life. A museum situated far from the metro. Took me five rides from my place to get there. Peaceful and serene. Perfect getaway from busy, everyday hustle and bustle of city. Different arts, paintings, crafts are inside. Great for art persons. Better bring your best camera to capture the beauty of it.
This is great day-trip from the city. Beautiful art in a beautiful setting. A very nice restaurant with good and tasteful dishes on site with very reasonable prices. (i always like it when no service charge is added to the bill so I can define myself). Can spend anything between 2 and 6 hours here. Make a quick stop just before entering the premises to make a picture and have a beautiful view of Manila from the hilltop.
