  • We were six couples and we were taken by a pre organized guide. The treasures in this museum are well over 1000 years old and are absolutely phenomenal There are representations of the actual tombs.....  more »
  • ...and amazing gold! This great museum holds the treasures from the ongoing excavation site nearby. All the original finds, no recreations. Signage is primarily in Spanish.  more »
  • As a native English speaker, I greatly appreciated English on some of the exhibits. You cannot expect English in all of them, and you can't bring your phone in, so be prepared to read some Spanish info without access to Google Translate. Even if you speak no Spanish at all, this museum is a must-see if you ever find yourself with some spare time in the Chiclayo area. They have some of the most spectacular jewlery that I have ever seen in a museum in Peru, the kind of stuff that ancient royalty used to wear, kept in perfect condition
  • I went here many years ago. I still remember my visit into this museum because of the amount of gold artifacts that were buried with the lord of sipan, also the work of jewelry, it is very impressive. It was a short visit but it was valuable although because in international museums are more focused on Egypt, Maya or Aztecs civilizations.
