The agencies sell excursions for everyone but unfortunately to enjoy the wonderful climb you have to be a minimum trained and acclimatized at the altitude. The walk involves wide trail and the ascent is relatively gentle apart from the last stretch. The scenery is spectacular throughout the course.

You have to visit here if you are in Peru. The entrance is a little expensive but the sights are worth it. Crystal clear water and high ice capped mountain.
Mesmerizing place!!!! Takes a whole day to get there from huaraz. Take pancho, water and snacks with you.
