  • Wonderful place. I claim to be a lover of the mountains and discreetly trained in long walks. The agencies sell excursions for everyone but unfortunately to enjoy the wonderful climb you have to be a minimum trained and acclimatized at the altitude. You could see a lot of people especially locals with inadequate clothing (duck shoes) suffer altitude and to make about 14 km round/return take over 6 hours. The walk involves wide trail and the ascent is relatively gentle apart from the last stretch. The scenery is spectacular throughout the course.

  • if you go with the intention of enjoying you will achieve it, because everything is an experience even when the ascent becomes difficult, reaching the lagoon is a huge satisfaction and saying: - it will achieve it. Recommendations consumea breakfast without much liquid, that was my first problem and a scarf on the neck helps not to feel the cold air of the climb, bandages just in case and some snacks help.

  • You have to visit here if you are in Peru. The entrance is a little expensive but the sights are worth it. Crystal clear water and high ice capped mountain.
  • Mesmerizing place!!!! Takes a whole day to get there from huaraz. Take pancho, water and snacks with you.
