With its long, low waves and excellent surfing conditions, Playa de Huanchaco attracts mostly surfers and beginners learning to surf. The beach boasts many surf schools, cafes, and beach vendors selling fast food and souvenirs. Stalls offering fishing tackle line a long wooden pier protruding into the sea. All over the sand you'll notice typical Andean "totora horses"--boats made of reed--standing upright. Streets and parks nearby have plenty of restaurants serving up excellent seafood. Rent some deck chairs and umbrellas (the sun is fierce) and watch the surfers. With constant waves and chilly water, the beach does not lend itself much to swimming, but if you still want to take a dip, be careful not to step on a sea urchin. Não é agradável... more »The beach in the region of Trujillo, is a beach of coarse sand and boulders, the water is dark and cold, can be on account of the time of the year... The location is not beautiful, it is dirty and smelly... It is not pleasant to stay in this location...
