One of the most famous hikes in the entire world, Inca Trail wends its way up through the jungles and mountains from Cusco to the legendary city of Machu Picchu. Stretching for 43 km (26 mi), the trail takes several days to complete and involves an intense ascent to altitudes of more than 4,200 m (13,800 ft). Trek your way along winding stone paths, some hundreds of years old, through rugged alpine valleys and cloud forests, passing ancient Inca sites along the way. At the end, you'll get to marvel at the terraces and towering peaks of Machu Picchu. However, keep in mind the restrictions placed on the trail; you must go with a registered trekking agency. The Peruvian government limits the number of hikers each day and season in order to protect the environment, so be sure to book and obtain your permit far in advance to avoid disappointment, particularly during the high season. Plan your visit to Inca Trail and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Cusco road trip planner .
Inca Trail Reviews
정말 누가 만들었는지 보면볼수록 신기한 곳입니다. 이번 페루 여행의 목적이 여기였구요. 고산병으로 좀 고생했는데 여기는 좀 낫더라구요. 정말 신기한 공간입니다. 그 옛날 여기서 무슨일이 있어났는지... more »The more you look at who made it, the more amazing it is. The purpose of this trip to Peru was here. I've been suffering from altitude sickness, but this place is a bit better. It's a really strange space. What happened here in the old days...

We contacted them with a single email, and Alberto the manager, he responded quickly and kindly, not only to this first email, but also to the many emails we sent him, I guess it's normal to ask a lot, before booking a visit and Alberto had no problem answering us. The trail is spectacular and crosses different environments, from high altitude mountains to cloud forest. Along the trail, there are several beautiful Incan remains, views with beautiful landscapes, and of course, all the efforts made during the first three days are well rewarded on the morning of the fourth day, when you can observe the rise of sun over Machu Picchu from the top of the sun gate. our guide was Raul, a very experienced guy who is about 40 years old, which made us feel safe when we walked with him for the four days. Raul also knows his culture very well, he knows a lot about the history of the Incas and Peru in general. We really learned a lot from him. we also had great guys (our porters) they were 10 in total, these guys are very friendly, they do the hard work to make the way to The Inca possible for tourists like us. they are always ready to help you in everything you need and to encourage you in the most difficult times. Gracias Muchachos!!! we also had Timoteo our great chef who with the help of porters prepared the best meals we tried during our stay at Cusco Timoteo is really a Master Chef I don't want to finish my review without recommending Local Trekkers Peru to all the people who are looking for an operator of the 100% local, reliable Inca Path and they give you everything they offer without hiding anything, you will not regret.
