An important religious site and a landmark of the city center, Iglesia de la Compania de Jesus dates back to the 16th century and displays an attractive Andean Baroque architectural style, with a decorated facade and two main towers. Inside, pay special attention to the painting called "El Matrimonio de Martin Garcia de Loyola con Beatriz Clara Coya," depicting the marriage of a colonial nobleman to the great-niece of Incan ruler Tupac Amaru. Cool spot to check out and stop by if you're in the main plaza. The central location and beautiful architecture but low visitor traffic makes it a good choice if you don't want to be crowded.
Impressive colonial church.
