Dating back to 1909, this store remains something of a pilgrimage site for true chocolate lovers. Choose from a range of various flavors and fillings, such as nougat, raisins, chestnuts, caramel, and more. Be sure to try the chocolates filled with pisco, a Peruvian brandy. Europeans should note that these chocolates are nothing like Belgian and Swiss chocolates, since they follow different recipes. The Iberian now has premises in several cities besides Arequipa, but only in the White City you can find all the variety and flavors of this traditional chocolate factory. Chocolates made with real cocoa, delicious and of all flavors and styles, for all tastes and now some of them have sugar-free versions that maintain the taste and quality of always. Love this place. We discovered it on a trip in 1982, and now we find ourselves begging anybody and everybody who happens to go down to Peru to pick up some of their stuff for us. The last time I went myself, i brought back at least twenty pounds of their products in my luggage (no mean feat, given luggage weight limits imposed by the airlines).
