On time and comfortable seats with a nice bathroom and great views. however, $75 one-way for a 1.5 hour ride way overpriced. I can fly to Lima for half that, the Peruvian government needs to step in here and allow more competition or set a cap.

I cannot rate this highly enough. I'd give more stars if I could. We took the PeruRail Sacred Valley train to Machu Picchu. It was amazing. The food was first rate and the service top class. It was real luxury at a very reasonable price. It was an experience we'll never forget. Coctails on the viewing platform passing through the most breathtaking scenery. This must truly be one of the finest train journeys in the world. On the return trip it was a clear night. They turned off the train lights so we could watch the stars through the roof windows. Simply unforgettable views of the Milky Way. One of the best days of our lives.
