Bridge of the Americas, Panama City

Bridge · Tourist Spot
Drive across Bridge of the Americas, which spans the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. Built by the United States in 1962, the bridge remains an important part of the Pan-American Highway, though it's no longer the only road crossing on the canal. The bridge serves only vehicles, so you cannot cross it on foot. If you don't wish to drive across the structure, see it from the land or from a boat or cruise ship.
