Vidda Runners Huskies reviews
We spent an amazing spring day with Ben, Ines and the four-legged gang. The dogs were very sporty, but also trustful, cuddly and made a very healthy impression. I did not expect to guide the sledge... more »
We were three people and we did a day trip (6h) and as introduction to sleddog was perfect. Good balance between sport, adventure and leisure (we had time to laugh and time to sweat). We also ice... more »
There are very few experiences that leave you speechless and the afternoon at Vidda Runners Huskies was one of them. Ben and Dre are excellent at what they do and more importantly they love what they do. The dogs are family for them and it shows. This was my first experience at mushing and they displayed immense patience in getting me ready for the actual run. My wife is terrified of dogs and Ben eased her into petting the dogs and even got her to join the ride. This is not an industrial sized operation with large tourist buses but you do get to spend quality time learning the skill from some of the best handlers and sledging with actual race dogs. And last but not the least, I have to thank Passat, Focus, Chinook, Mini and Beetle for they made the best team and made me look good on a sledge. Thank you again for an absolutely amazing experience and our best wishes to the entire team. We walked in as customers but walked away as friends.
Me and my husband decided to go for a Dog Sledging experience during our visit to northern Norway and couldn’t have found a better place to enjoy the experience. This is not a commercial but a truly family run place where the huskies are part of the family. Also prior to getting there I had fear of dogs and thought that I would not be able to get down from car with so many dogs around. However, Ben spent the first half an hour of our visit to make me comfortable with the dogs and it was such an amazing feeling to be able to get closer to huskies and ride with them. We also had an opportunity to meet Ben’s wife and wonderful two kids and Tre. The sledging itself was out of the world with no rush on a specific timing or route. We felt like true explores of the north. Ben , his family and Tre have this true passion for these lovely creatures and it was amazing to be part of it. Highly recommended !
