    Have to wait before entering the tunnel as it is one way only and on our return had workers in there. Didn’t mind the wait as a Kea provided some great entertainment  more »

    Amazing tunnel through the mountain to Milford Sound. A bit scary at first given the rough surface inside. The views before and after the tunnel are majestic. Went through the tunnel in January 2020 and it was open. There are places before and after tunnel that is labelled as 'No Stopping'due to risk if Rockfalls.

    You need to wait for the signal here to go through the tunnel. Actually this is the one of the spectacular view points to see around the valley. When it rains, there will be so many waterfalls around there. Also, you may meet Takahe here.
