Hiking Trail · Nature / Park
A walk along Kea Point Track yields excellent views of Mt. Cook (known in Māori as Aoraki) and Mueller Glacier. The well-maintained footpath starts at the Hooker Valley campground and parking lot and stretches out for 2.8 km (1.72 mi). The easy walk is suitable for all the family, including a baby in an all-terrain stroller. Note, however, that there is no shelter along the way, so walking here on particularly windy or rainy days may be unadvisable.
