Changu Narayan, Bhaktapur

#2 of 27 in Things to do in Bhaktapur
Must see · World heritage site · Religious Site · Tourist Spot
Centuries old and seemingly frozen in time, Changu Narayan represents one of the oldest temples in Nepal and an exquisite example of Licchavi-era architecture. Dedicated to the god Vishnu, the temple sits at the top of a hill surrounded by a forest. Walk inside to see a figure of Vishnu's consort Garuda, or stroll around the building to spot sculptures relating to the god's various incarnations. Make Changu Narayan a part of your Bhaktapur vacation plans using our Bhaktapur online trip itinerary maker.
