  • We visited this beautiful riad (which is not in the backpacker but is definitely worth a visit!) in the company of the son of the family of owners. The tour was guided and very interesting! The place is beautiful (typical Riad with beautiful patio, 4 suites and with a beautiful main suite upstairs) and the collections show different aspects of the daily life of many peoples from the various regions of Morocco. Finally, the view of the city from the roof is very beautiful.

  • The Riad houses an amazing museum, because the theme is unusual: habits and garments of Moroccan women. The courtyard is an oasis, there are shadows, birds and the building is beautiful! But best of all is the Guide (Salim), super considerate and expert in Moroccan culture. We left there with the feeling we received a lesson about Morocco. Shukran Salim and Continue fulfilling your dreams!!!

  • First, I will say that the riad is beautiful. It has a great feeling of light and space, and the details are fantastic--tile, carved wood, plaster work, etc. It looks like it's been left in a state of benign neglect creating the great feeling of an old dusty museum. The exhibits are also interesting, and show the unusual and personal nature of the collection. BUT IT HAS BEEN OVERRUN BY CRIMINALS. One of the fake guides outside the museum followed me inside, and the woman taking admission let him in. She told me he worked there. Then another guy who 'works there' came out from a back room. I was the only patron, so they followed me and tried to tell me about the exhibits, saying moronic things like 'this is a belt,' or 'this is a saddle.' Then one of them plugged his phone into the stereo and played Bob Marley over the loudspeakers, and I got the message. When I said I didn't want any hash, they tried to sell me objects from the museum. The woman, who seemed like a real employee, was in on it with the other two criminals. Management, if you are reading this--you should do something because your lovely museum will be plundered if you don't keep a closer eye on things.
  • Peaceful oasis in the medini. Interesting museum collection but without any information on the pieces. The mint tea is good!
