Northern Gate, Kotor

#28 of 101 in Things to do in Kotor
The 16th-century Northern Gate was built to commemorate Kotor's victory over Hayreddin Barbarossa, a famous Turkish admiral. The entry represents a fine example of Renaissance architecture. The little bridge across the Skurda river offers views of the medieval fortifications. Just next to the gate, you can stop at a small fish restaurant with indoor and open-air seating.
