Cenote Samula, Valladolid

4.4
#3 of 13 in Parks in Valladolid
The pool of striking blue water at Cenote Samula lies deep beneath the ground, in a cave surrounded by high stone walls. Sunrays falling in from the top opening illuminate the cave and its waters, where you can escape the heat with a peaceful swim. Visit with a guided tour or come on your own (get here by bike or taxi). The admission price includes both cenotes found at the site. As the floor of the cave can be a bit slippery, wear proper footwear. No need for snorkeling equipment, though. • This is a fantastic cenote, I believe on on the top 5 from all Yucatan area. Unfortunately after 15:00 it gets dark, so try to target your visit to be at noon inside to see it as its best.
  • Nice under ground cenote which is not so crowed
