Galeria Tanana, named after the Huichol Goddess of life, specializes in unique Huichol Art and fashion designer jewelry. This art gallery was created by anthropologist/jewelry designer Susana Valadez to raise funds for her non-profit project. All proceeds from the sales in this store directly supports the Huichol Center for Cultural Survival and Traditional Arts funded in 1981.   • Great selection of beautiful huichol jewelry that you won’t see at every other store in town. Craftsmanship is also a higher level here, but for good fair trade prices. Highly recommended!
  • Advertised as a fair trade store so though the prices are a little expensive for Mexico, hopefully the artists get to see part of the proceeds. I got a cool Huichol art T-shirt that was at least made in Mexico unlike most T-shirts being sold.
