  • This museum is a masterpiece from the outside and the inside. It is cured in an amazing way to make it appealing to all ages. Even the kids will love it because it is extremely didactic. A lot of.....  more »
  • There is no scholarship in evidence here whatsoever, simply none. Just a lot of money thrown around to create a lot of meaningless bombastic special effects geared toward class trips and the like...  more »
  • This is a must go place when you are in Puebla. From the architectural design outside, to the exhibit halls, this place will amaze you. The designer Toyo-Ito is a world known architect and did a great job on this museum.... is not an overwhelming place with thousands of pieces, but the displays are beautiful and all the halls have a different theme from music to architecture to sculpture to interior design to painting to writing. The model of the city and the big screen above it showing the interior of the each illuminated building is great and makes you want to visit each place in the city I liked the interactive screen which explains the music in detail. The exhibit with the dressing fashion of the era is great and we liked the really ornate lady's fan. The use of mirrors to ease the viewing of the ceiling art is something that we haven't seen before in any museum. We couldn't try the restaurant because they were not open for main lunch and we were ready for something else than coffee and dessert. They even have an exhibit about the development of the design of the museum by Mr Ito. There's so much to learn in this place and even the origin of the name Baroque is a surprise for many.
  • One of the best designed museums in the world. The exhibits cover music, art, books, and architecture from the baroque period. Don’t miss the “Forbidden/Banned Books” explanatory book. Give yourself about 2 hours to see everything. (February 2019)
