  • Huge fan! The best part is that is for free. If you think the building looks great from the outside, wait to go inside and start going up through all the artistic expositions. There's a locker area where you can put your bags in order to walk in the museum (also for free). My favorite one is the one at the very top: surrealism. Nice stop if you're visiting Mexico City.
  • Wow there's a lot in this museum. And it's free. Amazing. My favorite piece is the bronze casting of the "Gates of Hell" by Rodin. 20 ft tall, some much detail. Spent 30 minutes looking at it. You'll see it when you walk in. There are a number of floors with a wide incline ramp running along the walls all the way to the top floor. There are also elevators (which I didn't realize until I nearly arrived a the top). Very nice museum. Very beautiful building. I went around 1pm on a weekday in July. Only had to wait 15 minutes in the security line (behind a school group. Now that's a field trip I wish I would have gone one when i was a kiddo!). Thank you Carlos Slim! This museum in honor of your late wife is an absolute treasure and the best memorial anyone could have.
