Plaza Machado, Mazatlan

Plaza Machado, in the historic city center, was named after Juan Nepomuceno Machado, a Filipino trader who donated the land in 1837. A popular meeting point, the plaza used to be known as the "Orange Walk" because of the orange trees that surrounded it. Enjoy a coffee in the scenic city square, admire the French and Spanish architecture, and view the central gazebo constructed in 1870. Laidback in the morning and bustling with life at night, the plaza is a great spot for people watching, grabbing a quick snack, or a romantic stroll.
