  • The Tsingy is beautiful. If you are not in great shape do not cross the bridge. There is a long way to go after, and you have to come back after!!! Every step you have to be careful! But it was exceptionally hot 37. But it's splendid!!

  • The big Tsingy is a wonderful hiking experience. In the dry season be prepared for overhead sun with little to no shade. You will likely be given a harness upon arrival, which will be needed when climbing. A good level of fitness is required for the hike/climb, which requires you to slip through tight spaces and walk near steep drops. Not for the vertigo-prone. Expect to spend around 5 hours hiking. Near the edge of the reserve is a more forested area with many species of lemurs and birds-perfect for the enthusiast. But I would recommend against bringing an expensive camera as it is most certainly going to get damaged. Remember to bring plenty of fluids and food, and to always wear your harness when guidelines are present for it. The trails in the tsingy are clearly marked with both km signs and spray painted rocks
