Tsingy Rouge Park, Antsiranana (Diego Suarez)

Red rocks come alive at Tsingy Rouge Park, a red laterite stone formation formed by erosion. These natural chimneys of sand and red clay set against blue skies are particularly noteworthy in the afternoon sunlight. You can explore the rocky landscape formed by different oxides. Tall white columns with tinges of clay and sand underneath attract tourists, who make the 50 km (31 mi) trip from the nearest town. • Be careful, do not approach the edges of the Canyon, they break regularly. Small circuit up to make, go to the dunes then descend to observe them more near (to the left of the parking and the restaurant)

  • One of the places that I liked most in Madagascar, is to visit absolutely. Both the valley in which you walk and the panoramic view of the canyon.

  • Gorgeous landscape! Only fault was that some of the tourists were destroying the surroundings.
  • Almost Alien landscape. A suggestive place that has a few equals in the world.
