Cross a deep ravine on a suspension foot bridge and admire Jurassic limestone formations at Ankarana Special Reserve, a wildlife reserve with some of the highest population density of primates in the world. Dark karst pinnacles, cave systems, and underground waters with dry deciduous and semi-deciduous forests cover 18,220 hectares (45,023 acres). Watch closely to see crowned lemurs, Sanford's brown lemur, Perrier's black lemur, brown mouse lemur, and dwarf lemurs, and you can also spot chameleons and leaf-tailed geckos. The trek in the park is relatively easy and boring, you can spot lemurs, snake if you're lucky and some weird insects. I guess it all depends how lucky you are with the guide, ours was not very... more »
